Can you freeze Brussels sprouts?

Yes, Brussels sprouts can be frozen. Doing so is a great way to prepare ahead of the day for Christmas dinners, meaning you’ll be less stressed when the day comes around. To do this, it’s best to blanch them first. To blanch your Brussels sprouts, add them to boiling water for 3-5 minutes, then cool in iced water. This will help preserve their colour, texture and nutritional value. After blanching, pat them dry, spread them on a baking sheet to freeze individually, and then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container – ready to thaw and cook when you need them.
